Invoca, which is an industry leader in call marketing automation, has announced that they are bringing on a new CEO. Mark Woodward will take over as leader of this rapidly growing company. Woodward has experience in leadership, formerly working as CEO of SaaS company, E2Open. During his time with them he lead them through their IPO and a market valuation of around $1 billion. This makes it an even better move for Invoca, which also announced plans for an IPO in 2017.
In addition to working for E2open, he was also the CEO of Serena Software, where he grew the revenue to $300 million and helped with the sale of the company for over a billion dollars. Woodward ran North American sales for Legent Corporation and had other top positions for McAfee and Oracle.
Woodward was appointed to the position by Jason Spievak, who was the founder and current CEO of the company. He will remain with the company as a full time worker running their strategy and corporate development as the company’s executive vice president and chairman.
Spievak said, “I was the right guy to start Invoca and lead it to a sustainable business doing tens of millions of dollars in revenue. And at our current growth rate, I want a partner with the experience of scaling to hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. When I met Mark, I knew we had found the right leader for this next chapter of our rapid growth and global expansion.”
Woodward also commented on his appointment, saying “With mobile phones now such a significant part of how we all live our lives, it’s no wonder that Invoca has grown at the rate that it has. It’s so rare to have the opportunity to join a company as CEO that not only has such a big vision, but that also retains the full support of its founders and possesses such a great roster of management, investors and board members. I’m excited to help lead the next phase of this great SaaS company.”
Congratulations to Mark Woodward and the entire Invoca team on this exciting move, and good luck with the upcoming IPO.
