Google now Auto-Converting Flash to HTML5 for Mobile Ads

Google has recently announced that they are now automatically converting ads made in Flash to HTML5 so they can be displayed on mobile devices that don’t support Flash.  This will fix the issue that many marketers have faced where non-Flash enabled devices would simply display a static image in place of the rich-ad that they had intended.

All ads will be converted from Flash to HTML5 whether they are uploaded directly into the AdWords platform, or they are brought in through third-party tools, which means this whole process should be seamless to marketers.

It will also apply to all existing ads that are already uploaded, which further eliminates the need for marketers and advertisers to actually take any action to enjoy this new benefit.

It seems like this is one of those updates that should have been implemented quite some time ago.  HTML5 has been used for at least a couple years now, and Flash has long had issues on many types of mobile devices.
