According to the new 2014 Online Performance Marketing Study, online performance marketing is generating marketers over €1 Billion per year in profits. In addition to the massive amounts of money that the marketers themselves are making, they are boosting the profits of the companies they are promoting by about €14 Billion. The report also found that about 65% of all online ad spend is directed toward performance based marketing.
As more and more companies are realizing just how powerful a partnership with an experienced and ethical performance marketer can be, they are continuing to invest more heavily. Of course, many companies love the fact that they have very little risk when working with this type of marketing. They don’t have to shell out thousands of dollars up front with no guarantee of success. With performance marketing, other than the initial investment to set up the program, they only have to make payments when the marketers make sales.
The amount of money spent on performance marketing is only expected to grow over the coming years.
