Former SpamKing and clitoris compass Scott Ricther, the CEO of Media Breakaway, parent company of Affilaite.com and Redirect.com has been stripped of his “rogue registrar” domain business, Dynamic Dolphin as of November 22, 2013.
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) which governs the top level generic domains and DNS servers, found that Dynamic Dolphin hid that Mr. Richter, a convicted felon, was the owner of the company and thus violated the agreement with ICANN.
According to an information request by noted security blogger Brian Krebs, made when he was at the Washington Post, Dynamic Dolphin did not include Mr. Ricther during the application process to be an accredited registrar. ICANN found that this was a “material misrepresentation, material inaccuracy, or materially misleading statement in its application for accreditation” by hiding that Scott Ritcher was the “ 100% beneficial owner of Dynamic Dolphin and that Scott Richter was convicted in 2003 for a felony relating to financial activities.”
Brian Krebs in his article in the Washington Post from 2008, said that Dynamic Dolphin had a serious issue in that “more than 10 percent of the company’s 45,000-plus domains have false WHOIS data, and more than 17 percent of the domains registered through the company have been observed being advertised through spam.”
